Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role within logistics or transportation management.
• Experience managing large fleets and optimizing operational efficiency.
• Strong knowledge of logistics software and fleet management systems.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team in a demanding environment.
• Knowledge of South African transportation laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of dispatchers, drivers, and support staff to ensure efficient daily operations.
• Oversee fleet management, including maintenance scheduling, asset tracking, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize routes, reduce costs, and improve delivery times.
• Monitor KPIs for logistics operations and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations and company policies, conducting regular safety audits.
• Manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts and SLAs.
