Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Operations Manager with a logistics focus to lead our Polokwane operations. You will oversee the full logistics and supply chain function, optimize routes, manage a high-performing team, and implement best practices to drive efficiency and cost savings.

The role demands a bachelor's degree in logistics or related field, 5+ years in logistics with at least 2 years in management, and strong negotiation and systems skills to ensure compliant, on-time delivery

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, business administration or related field.
Minimum 5 years in logistics/supply chain with 2+ years in a supervisory role.
Experience optimizing transport routes and managing warehouse ops.

Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of logistics and supply chain operations (warehousing, transport, inventory).
Develop and implement efficient logistics strategies to minimize costs and delivery times.
Oversee the logistics team with guidance, training and performance management.
Negotiate with carriers and suppliers for favorable rates and service agreements.
Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards.
Use logistics software to track shipments, manage inventory and analyze performance.
