Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Operations Improvement Engineer to lead process improvements across logistics and supply chain. The role is remote with occasional travel to Durban and requires expertise in Lean Six Sigma and project leadership.

The successful candidate will analyze operations, implement efficiency strategies, and mentor teams while driving significant performance gains for a global leader in the sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
• Lean/Six Sigma expertise with Black Belt preferred.
• Strong data analysis and process improvement experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing operational processes within logistics and supply chain to identify enhancements.
• Develop and implement strategies for efficiency, cost reduction and waste minimization.
• Apply Lean and Six Sigma to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Design new workflows and improvements aligned with business objectives.
• Collaborate with site managers to adopt new processes and best practices.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data to track performance trends.
• Prepare detailed reports and present findings to senior management.
• Manage and execute improvement projects to ensure timely completion.
• Provide training and mentorship on process improvement techniques.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies.
