Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Site Engineer for a landmark high-rise project in Midrand, Gauteng. You will oversee on-site operations, drive quality, safety, and efficiency, and manage multiple work streams with a proactive leadership style.

The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, 8+ years in site engineering and construction management, and a proven track record on large-scale projects. Travel to the Midrand site will be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years in site engineering and construction management, high-rise focus.
• Proven experience in large-scale projects.
• Knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and QC procedures.
• Strong health and safety knowledge in construction.
• Proficiency in MS Project or Primavera P6.
• Read and interpret complex drawings and specifications.
• Willingness to travel to Midrand site.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily construction activities per plans, specs, and building codes.
• Coordinate site personnel and subcontractors for efficient workflow.
• Enforce stringent health and safety protocols on site.
• Monitor progress and address delays or issues promptly.
• Ensure workmanship and material quality throughout the process.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Prepare and submit regular progress reports to management.
• Manage site resources, including equipment and materials.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders for alignment.
