Placements24 is seeking an experienced Lead Auditor in Rustenburg to plan, supervise, and execute high-stakes audits for a diverse client portfolio. The role demands strong leadership, meticulous verification, and deep knowledge of ISA/IFRS standards.

You will mentor junior staff, develop tailored audit programs, assess controls, and deliver comprehensive reports. Travel to client sites in the Rustenburg area is required; a CA(SA)/SAIPA/ACCA is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Auditing is required.
• Professional qualification such as CA(SA), SAIPA, or ACCA is essential.
• Minimum 8 years of external/internal auditing experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory/lead role.
• In-depth knowledge of ISAs, IFRS, and SA tax laws.
• Proven track record leading audit teams and managing multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and complete financial and operational audits for a wide range of clients.
• Supervise and mentor junior audit staff during engagements.
• Develop audit programs and methodologies tailored to client risks.
• Assess internal controls and identify weaknesses or non-compliance.
• Perform substantive testing and detailed financial analysis.
• Prepare audit reports with findings and recommendations.
• Communicate progress and results to clients and senior management.
• Ensure engagements meet budget and deadlines.
• Stay updated on auditing standards and regulations.
