Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Audit Senior in Polokwane, Limpopo, to plan, execute and finalise audits across industries. The role offers a hybrid model with a mix of office-based audits and remote administration tasks.

The successful candidate will have 3–5 years of audit experience, and professional qualifications such as CA(SA)/ACCA/CIA are preferred. Competitive salary and development opportunities accompany the position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/sciences or equivalent required.
• Professional qualification (CA(SA), ACCA) or CIA preferred.
• 3–5 years of external or internal audit experience.
• Solid understanding of ISA and COSO internal controls.
• Experience with audit software and data analytics tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute financial and internal control audits for a portfolio of clients.
• Assess risks and develop audit programs tailored to client needs.
• Evaluate internal control design and effectiveness.
• Perform substantive testing and transaction analysis.
• Document audit findings clearly and in line with standards.
• Communicate progress, issues, and recommendations to clients and management.
• Supervise and mentor junior auditors.
• Ensure engagements are completed on time and within budget.
• Stay current with auditing standards and regulatory changes.
• Contribute to best practices and knowledge sharing within the team.
