Job summary

Placements24 client, a prominent auditing firm, seeks a Lead Auditor to head multiple audit engagements in the Rustenburg region. This senior role requires planning, supervising, and delivering high-quality financial and operational audits for diverse clients.

The ideal candidate holds a CA(SA)/SAIPA/ACCA and at least 8 years in external or internal audits, with 3+ years in leadership. Travel to client sites in the Rustenburg area is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Auditing required.
• Professional qualification such as CA(SA), SAIPA, or ACCA essential.
• Minimum 8 years in auditing with 3+ years in lead/supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of ISAs, IFRS, SA tax law; capable of leading teams.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and execute financial and operational audits.
• Mentor junior audit staff throughout engagements.
• Develop audit programs and risk-based methodologies.
• Assess internal controls and identify weaknesses.
• Prepare detailed audit reports with findings and recommendations.
• Communicate progress and results to clients and management.
• Ensure engagements meet budget and timelines; stay updated on standards.
