Job summary

Boardroom Appointments is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator in Pretoria, SA. The role focuses on managing user access via SSO, maintaining secure policies, and automating routine IT tasks.

You will oversee both on-premises AD and cloud endpoints, and collaborate with various teams to ensure uninterrupted IT services. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of relevant experience, a CS or IS degree, and certifications in 365/Identity/Compliance, with strong emphasis on security and compliance

• Matric (Grade 12) required.
• Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert
• Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate
• Microsoft Certified: Information Protection and Compliance
• Professional Google Workspace Administrator
• CompTIA Network+
• CompTIA Security+
• CompTIA Cloud+
• 3-5 years relevant experience
• Experience with Microsoft Entra ID and conditional access policies
• Experience with on-prem AD DS, AD CS, and Group Policy
• Experience with Microsoft Intune and cloud endpoint management
• Experience with Salesforce CRM administration and Google Workspace administration
• Networking design and security monitoring

Responsibilities

• Centrally manage user access and permissions with SSO across all systems
• Maintain least privilege access across company systems
• Implement and enforce secure access controls and security policies
• Develop and maintain scripts for automation and maintenance
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices
• Ensure efficient operation of internal networks and call center components
• Plan improvements and upgrades; monitor internet speeds
• Maintain system performance and uptime; monitor IT metrics
• Implement automation tools to streamline IT operations
• Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and IT staff
• Collaborate with IT team, developers, and stakeholders for service delivery
• Participate in IT projects from planning to post-implementation support
• Research emerging technologies to support growth
• Document topology, processes, and maintenance records
• Ensure compliance with IT processes and regulatory requirements (HIPAA, GDPR, SOC 2)
• Handle escalations and capacity constraints in IT tickets
