Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Senior IT Support Analyst in Randburg, Gauteng, offering a dynamic hybrid work environment with in-office collaboration and remote options. You will troubleshoot complex IT issues, manage IT infrastructure, and lead IT projects, mentoring junior staff and contributing to strategic IT planning.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in IT/CS or related field and 5-7 years of experience, with strong Windows/macOS troubleshooting, AD/Exchange, virtualization, and IT security

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5-7 years of IT support, system administration or related experience.
• Strong troubleshooting in Windows and macOS, networks, and hardware.
• Experience with server administration and virtualization technologies.
• Solid IT security best practices knowledge.
• Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
• Certifications like CompTIA Network+, MCSE, CCNA are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced technical support for desktop hardware, software, network connectivity, and enterprise apps.
• Manage and maintain IT infrastructure including servers, workstations and network devices.
• Lead IT projects from conception to completion within budget and timelines.
• Escalation point for complex IT issues and mentor for junior staff.
• Develop, implement and enforce IT policies and procedures for security and compliance.
• Conduct system audits, performance monitoring and preventative maintenance.
• Manage IT asset inventory and software licensing.
• Collaborate with vendors to resolve issues and procure equipment.
• Contribute to IT strategy and planning for technology improvements.
