Placements24 is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex IT system implementations for a major financial services institution in Randburg. You will oversee the full project lifecycle, ensure on-time delivery within budget, and align with IT strategy while guiding teams and stakeholders.

Key requirements include 7+ years in IT project management, strong leadership, and expertise in Waterfall and Agile methods.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, business or related field.
• 7+ years in IT project management focusing on systems & infrastructure.
• Experience managing large IT projects with budgets > R10 million.
• Knowledge of Waterfall, Agile (Scrum/Kanban), and hybrid methods.
• Strong IT infrastructure, lifecycle, and enterprise architecture understanding.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Certifications like PMP, PRINCE2, or ITIL desirable.
• Willingness to work full-time onsite in Randburg.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and manage detailed project plans for IT system implementations.
• Lead and mentor project teams for effective task execution.
• Manage stakeholder communications with senior management and business units.
• Oversee selection and implementation of new IT systems, software and hardware.
• Ensure IT governance, security, and compliance throughout lifecycles.
• Conduct regular project reviews and implement corrective actions.
• Manage vendor relationships for outsourced IT services.
• Facilitate UAT and ensure system deployment and handover.
• Champion PM best practices and drive continuous improvement.
