Job summary

Placements24 is partnering with a leading telecommunications provider in Randburg, Gauteng to hire a Senior Project Manager for a large-scale IT infrastructure rollout project. The role focuses on planning, execution and seamless deployment while minimizing service disruption.

You will lead cross-functional teams, manage budgets, ensure security protocols, and report progress to stakeholders. Hybrid work is available, with on-site presence as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS/Engineering or related field required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage comprehensive project plans for IT infrastructure rollouts.
• Lead cross-functional teams including IT specialists, network engineers, and vendors.
• Oversee procurement, installation, configuration, and testing of infrastructure components.
• Identify and mitigate project risks; provide proactive solutions.
• Manage stakeholder communications and progress updates.
• Ensure adherence to PM best practices, quality standards, and security protocols.
• Monitor expenditures and manage the project budget.
• Coordinate with operations for smooth transition to service management.
• Conduct post-project reviews and document lessons learned.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies relevant to IT infrastructure.
