The Recruitment Council is seeking a senior leader to shape technical solution competency, market alignment, and strategic growth across its Business Development division. You will drive training, oversee complex technical queries, and design programs to improve distribution channel capability.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree with a Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning, CFP designation, and active FPI membership.
• 5–7 years of progressive experience in an investment financial planning environment.
• Minimum of 3 years in senior management and direct team leadership.
• In-depth understanding of the financial planning landscape, investment products, platforms, and distribution channels.
• Proven track record of cross-functional collaboration and partnership management.
• Strong authoring capabilities for technical industry audiences and public financial education content.
• Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, negotiation, and resilience.

Responsibilities

• Drive strategic positioning, industry competency, and formal training programs for the Business Development team.
• Lead the resolution of complex technical queries with sign-off authority on all technical market communications.
• Design and execute strategic plans, digital interventions, and marketing support to enhance distribution channel capability.
• Provide expert technical problem-solving support to client services and marketing divisions.
• Collaborate across business units to align operational plans with overarching financial drivers and budgets.
• Deliver strategic leadership, coaching, and performance management for direct reports.
• Represent the business at industry forums and seminars, staying ahead of regulatory changes and implementing required adaptations.
