Placements24 is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer for Pretoria to lead design and delivery of municipal infrastructure projects. The role focuses on water, wastewater, stormwater, and road networks, with emphasis on sustainable engineering and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in infrastructure design and project management.
• Professional Engineer (PrEng) registration with ECSA is required.
• Experience designing water, wastewater, and stormwater systems.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, EPANET/SWMM for modelling.
• Strong knowledge of municipal planning processes and regulations.
• Excellent PM, leadership and communication skills.
• Experience on Pretoria or Gauteng region projects is desirable.
• Commitment to sustainable design principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and planning of municipal infrastructure projects (water, sewerage, stormwater, roads).
• Prepare detailed designs, drawings, and cost estimates for developments.
• Manage projects from concept to construction within scope, budget, and schedule.
• Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and EIA work.
• Liaise with clients, government agencies, and utilities.
• Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technicians.
• Ensure compliance with SA standards, codes and regs.
• Utilize design software for modelling and GIS mapping.
• Develop innovative, sustainable engineering solutions.
• Review contractor submittals and RFIs during construction.
