Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Civil Infrastructure Engineer for Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape. You will lead design, planning, and project management of major water, sewer, roads and stormwater projects.

You will mentor junior engineers, manage budgets and client communications, and ensure compliance with municipal standards and SANS. Strong technical and stakeholder skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Mandatory Pr.Eng. registration with ECSA.
• Master's degree in Civil Engineering is highly desirable.
• 8–12 years of relevant experience in civil infrastructure design and project management.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD and water modelling software.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, planning, and project management of civil infrastructure projects (water, sewer, roads, stormwater).
• Prepare detailed design calculations, drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
• Oversee construction monitoring and provide technical support to site teams.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and client communication.
• Ensure designs comply with South African standards (SANS) and municipal requirements.
• Mentor and guide junior civil engineers and technicians.
• Liaise with clients, regulatory authorities and other stakeholders.
• Conduct site investigations and contribute to proposals and BD efforts.
