Qualifications

About the Role

Our client, a leading international provider of digital solutions, is looking for a Senior Information Security Engineer to join their entirely remote team. This role is pivotal in designing, implementing, and maintaining the security infrastructure that protects the company's digital assets and services. You will be responsible for a wide range of security tasks, including threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, and the deployment of security tools and technologies. This position is 100% remote, allowing you to work from any location within South Africa, offering maximum flexibility and work-life balance. Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage security tools and technologies, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and SIEM systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in information security engineering or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of network security principles, protocols, and technologies.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR, firewalls, and other security technologies.
• Proficiency in security incident response, vulnerability management, and threat analysis.
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of cloud security (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, essential for remote teamwork.
