About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Information Security Analyst to join their fully remote workforce, based out of Cape Town. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive information security policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate security risks.
• Manage and respond to security incidents, coordinating response efforts and performing post-incident analysis.
• Oversee the configuration and operation of security technologies, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, and firewalls.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure security requirements are integrated into all system development lifecycles.
• Provide expert guidance on security best practices and emerging threats to technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 6 years of progressive experience in information security, with a focus on analysis and incident response.
• Demonstrated expertise in security architecture, threat modeling, and risk management frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF, ISO 27001).
• Proven ability to manage security incidents effectively, including containment, eradication, and recovery.
• Strong understanding of network security, cloud security (AWS, Azure), and application security principles.
• Excellent communication skills, essential for a remote team environment.
