Qualifications

• 5-7 years of progressive experience in industrial sanitation management, preferably in manufacturing or heavy industry.
• Extensive knowledge of sanitation principles, cleaning chemicals, disinfection techniques, and health and safety standards.
• Proven experience developing and implementing sanitation programs and SOPs.
• Strong leadership, team management, and motivational skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Demonstrated budget management experience.
• Understanding of HSE regulations and documentation practices.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and be on-call as needed.
• Must reside in or relocate to the Mahikeng, North West area.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive industrial sanitation program across the facility, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
• Lead, train, and mentor a team of sanitation technicians, fostering accountability, safety, and high performance.
• Conduct audits and inspections of production areas and sanitation processes to identify deficiencies and implement corrective actions.
• Manage the sanitation budget, including labour, chemicals, equipment, and supplies.
• Oversee selection, use, and maintenance of sanitation equipment and chemicals for safety and performance.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality Assurance, and Engineering to align sanitation activities with goals and product integrity.
• Develop and maintain detailed sanitation documentation (SOPs, logs, training records, audit reports).
• Stay updated on sanitation tech, chemicals, and regulatory requirements; implement improvements as needed.
• Ensure sanitation personnel receive training on safety procedures, chemical handling, and equipment operation.
• Respond to sanitation-related incidents or emergencies effectively.
