Job summary

Placements24 is recruiting a Sanitation Team Lead for a leading industrial manufacturing facility in Mahikeng, North West. You will manage daily sanitation operations, lead a team of workers, and ensure a clean, safe production environment with strict safety standards.

You will implement cleaning schedules, oversee supplies, train staff, and coordinate with production to minimize disruption. A hands-on leader with strong communication and problem-solving skills is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in industrial sanitation or cleaning
• 1+ year in leadership or supervisory role
• Knowledge of industrial cleaning chemicals and safety procedures
• Understanding of health, safety and environmental regulations in manufacturing

Responsibilities

• Direct a team of sanitation workers and assign daily tasks
• Implement and enforce cleaning/sanitation procedures in production areas
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations
• Inspect facility for sanitation issues and take corrective actions
• Manage inventory of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment
• Train new team members on cleaning techniques and safety protocols
• Maintain records of cleaning activities and staffing attendance
• Coordinate with production and maintenance to schedule cleaning with minimal disruption
• Promote safety and cleanliness culture across the site
• Respond to spills and sanitation-related emergencies
