Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene or related field.
• 7+ years in industrial hygiene and sanitation with leadership experience.
• CIH certification is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of hazardous materials and exposure assessments.
• Familiarity with SA OHS Act regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the industrial hygiene and sanitation program across the facility.
• Conduct workplace hazard assessments for chemical exposure, noise, and health risks.
• Enforce sanitation protocols for production areas and waste systems.
• Lead, train, and supervise the sanitation team.
• Monitor environmental conditions to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage procurement and inventory of cleaning supplies, PPE, and equipment.
• Investigate hygiene-related incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Health & Safety to integrate hygiene into safety management.
• Maintain records of monitoring, inspections, and incidents.
