Placements24 is seeking a Senior Industrial Engineer in Nelspruit to lead operations analysis and drive continuous improvement across manufacturing and operations. You will identify bottlenecks, implement data-driven solutions, and mentor junior engineers to foster operational excellence.

The role focuses on Lean Six Sigma, KPI tracking, and cross-functional collaboration to boost productivity, reduce costs, and improve quality in the Mpumalanga region.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in industrial engineering with a focus on operations analysis and process improvement.
• Demonstrated expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and statistical analysis.
• Proficiency in simulation software Arena/AnyLogic and data analysis tools Minitab/SPSS.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth analysis of existing operational processes, identifying bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
• Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance efficiency, throughput, and cost-effectiveness.
• Utilize statistical analysis, simulation modeling, and data visualization tools to support decision-making.
• Lead cross-functional teams in problem-solving and the implementation of process improvements.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to drive waste reduction and value creation.
• Develop and track KPIs to monitor operational performance and project success.
• Create and maintain process documentation, SOPs, and best practice guidelines.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and technical staff in their development.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and methodologies to optimize operations.
• Ensure all changes comply with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and environmental policies.
