Placements24 is seeking a Senior Industrial Engineer for our client in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga, to enhance manufacturing systems and processes. The role emphasizes production optimization, lean methodologies, and integrating advanced manufacturing technologies to boost throughput and reduce cycle times.

You will lead cross-functional teams, conduct time and motion studies, design layouts, and implement scheduling strategies while ensuring safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering.
• 5–7 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
• Experience in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
• Strong analytical and project management skills.
• Experience with production planning and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Analyze current operations to identify improvements.
• Implement Kanban, JIT, and Value Stream Mapping.
• Design plant layouts, material flow, and ergonomics.
• Conduct time and motion studies to set standard work.
• Develop production control systems and scheduling strategies.
• Lead Kaizen events and cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve issues.
• Monitor KPIs and progress with data tools.
• Evaluate automation upgrades for manufacturing capabilities.
