Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Industrial Engineer to join a hybrid team in Kimberley, driving efficiency across operations. The role focuses on analyzing production data, designing streamlined workflows, and leading projects that reduce waste and enhance productivity.

You will mentor cross-functional teams in lean and Six Sigma methods, develop documentation and metrics, and collaborate with engineering, operations, and quality teams to implement impactful improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in industrial engineering, preferably in a manufacturing context.
• Proven experience in implementing lean principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Familiarity with simulation software and data analysis tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Analyze operational data to identify inefficiencies and develop actionable improvement plans.
• Design, implement, and monitor manufacturing processes for optimal efficiency and quality.
• Lead and mentor cross-functional teams in applying lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and quality to ensure seamless integration of improvements.
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for new process implementations or equipment upgrades.
