Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior HR Generalist to join a fully remote team across South Africa. You will advise on the full HR lifecycle, support management and staff, and drive talent and performance initiatives from a remote work culture.

The ideal candidate brings 6+ years in HR Generalist roles, deep SA employment law knowledge, and strong analytical skills to foster a productive, compliant remote environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or a related field.
• 6+ years of progressive experience in a Senior HR Generalist or HR Managerial role.
• In-depth knowledge of South African employment law and HR best practices.
• Proven experience in talent management, performance management, and employee relations.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to work effectively in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert HR guidance and support across the employee lifecycle, from recruitment to exit.
• Manage complex employee relations issues, ensuring fair and compliant resolutions.
• Oversee performance management processes, coaching managers and employees on best practices.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and strategies.
• Manage HR data and reporting, leveraging HRIS for insights and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with South African labor laws and best practices in a remote setting.
