Job summary

MCI is seeking an experienced Senior HR Officer to provide hands-on HR support in Cape Town, focusing on employee relations, HR operations and compliance. The role requires a solid HR Generalist background and strong knowledge of South African labour legislation.

You will partner with managers and the Talent Acquisition team, handling disciplinary matters, performance issues and CCMA processes while maintaining HR records and driving improvements in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years HR experience in an HR Generalist or HR Operations role.
• Proven Employee Relations and Industrial Relations experience.
• Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation and CCMA processes.
• Experience managing disciplinary, grievance, incapacity and performance matters.
• Previous recruitment/Talent Acquisition experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage Employee Relations matters including disciplinary processes, grievances, incapacity, performance management and investigations.
• Provide practical HR guidance to employees, managers and operational leaders.
• Support CCMA matters and ensure compliance with South African labour legislation.
• Implement and maintain HR policies, procedures and processes.
• Partner with managers on employee, performance and workforce-related matters.
• Maintain accurate HR records and reporting.
• Support recruitment and Talent Acquisition activities when required.
• Partner with hiring managers and the TA team on recruitment requirements.
• Support high-volume recruitment and onboarding initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and employee experience.
• Support HR projects, audits and compliance requirements.
