Placements24 in Pretoria, Gauteng is seeking a Senior HR Officer with a strong focus on Compliance and Employee Relations. The role is hybrid, balancing office-based strategic work with remote flexibility, and targets a seasoned HR professional with extensive knowledge of SA labour law.

You will lead investigations, advise on policies, conduct audits, and support strategic HR initiatives while maintaining accurate HR records and fostering a fair workplace culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Law or related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of progressive HR experience with emphasis on employee relations and compliance.
• Solid knowledge of South African labour law and its practical application.
• Experience conducting workplace investigations and managing disciplinary processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage employee relations issues, including investigations, disciplinary hearings and grievances.
• Ensure compliance with SA labor legislation (BCEA, LRA, EEA and related acts).
• Develop and update HR policies and procedures for legal compliance.
• Advise management and staff on HR policies, procedures and labour law matters.
• Conduct regular HR compliance audits across the organisation.
• Support HR Manager on strategic HR projects and initiatives.
