Placements24 is seeking an experienced HR Manager to oversee operations HR in Pretoria, Gauteng. This hybrid role requires presence in the Pretoria office for key meetings and collaborative sessions.

The successful candidate will lead HR strategy, manage a team of HR professionals, and collaborate with operational leaders to address workforce challenges, enhance productivity, and ensure compliance with SA labour laws.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in HR, Industrial Relations or related field.
• 8+ years HR experience with at least 3 years in a management role.
• In-depth knowledge of South African labor law in operational contexts.
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the HR department to deliver services to operational teams.
• Develop and implement HR policies for operational environments.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management and compensation for operational staff.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws and industry-specific regulations.
• Drive initiatives to improve employee engagement, retention and productivity.
• Provide strategic HR advice to senior operational management.
