Job summary

Placements24 in Vereeniging seeks a Skilled Heavy Machinery Technician to maintain and repair a diverse fleet of heavy equipment used in construction, mining and industry. You will diagnose faults, perform preventative maintenance and ensure optimal uptime in both workshop and on-site environments.

The role requires a recognized trade qualification or extensive experience with heavy machinery, plus strong technical abilities in mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.

Qualifications

• Recognized trade qualification or equivalent extensive experience.
• Minimum 5 years hands-on experience with heavy machinery.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems in heavy equipment.
• Ability to read and understand complex technical manuals and schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and a logical approach to problem-solving.
• Knowledge of diagnostic tools and equipment specific to heavy machinery.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
• Physical stamina to work in Vereeniging's industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose heavy machinery to identify faults and necessary repairs.
