Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Grid Operations Engineer to monitor and optimize the national power grid from a remote-enabled setup. You will analyze performance data, develop strategies for load management, and coordinate maintenance and upgrades across the network in collaboration with regulators and utility partners.

The role emphasizes renewable integration, grid stability, and response to disturbances, with a strong focus on analytical excellence and autonomous remote work capability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with power systems specialization.
• 8+ years of experience in power system operations or grid planning within the energy sector.
• Strong knowledge of grid operations, protection schemes, and SCADA.
• Experience with power flow analysis, short-circuit calculations, and transient stability studies.
• Familiarity with renewable energy integration challenges and solutions.
• Analytical, problem-solving and communication skills; able to work autonomously in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Monitor real-time grid operations and analyze performance data.
• Develop plans to ensure grid stability during peak demand or disturbances.
• Plan and coordinate grid maintenance, upgrades, and new connection projects.
• Analyze renewable integration impact and manage intermittency for grid stability.
• Respond to grid emergencies and disturbances; support load shedding events.
• Collaborate with regulators, utility partners, and internal stakeholders for compliance.
