Job summary

Placements24, a leading energy solutions recruiter, seeks a Grid Integration Specialist for a fully remote team focusing on renewable energy interconnection. You will analyze grid infrastructure, develop interconnection standards, and collaborate with utilities nationwide to ensure reliable, scalable operation of an evolving energy network.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in power systems engineering, strong knowledge of grid codes, and hands-on experience with simulation tools.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
5+ years in power systems engineering, specializing in grid integration.
Strong knowledge of power flow, short-circuit analysis, and transient stability.
Familiarity with grid interconnection standards and processes.
Experience with PSS/E, PowerFactory, or similar tools.
Excellent communication and remote stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

Analyze grid capacity and stability for interconnection of renewable energy projects.
Develop and implement technical guidelines and standards for grid integration.
Collaborate with utilities, ISOs/RTOs, and project developers on interconnection studies and agreements.
Identify and resolve technical challenges related to grid stability, power quality, and protection.
Review and approve interconnection applications and designs.
Stay informed about evolving grid codes, regulations, and best practices for renewable energy integration.
