Placements24 is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer for a highly skilled, remote-friendly position. The role involves leading geotechnical investigations, advanced analyses, and reporting for a global portfolio of projects originating from the Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal hub. The ideal candidate will have a Master’s or PhD in Geotechnical Engineering, Pr.

Eng. registration, 10+ years of consultancy experience, and proficiency with Plaxis, GeoStudio, and FLAC.

Qualifications

Master's or PhD in Geotechnical Engineering or related field.
Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) registration or equivalent.
Minimum 10 years of geotechnical engineering consultancy experience.
Proficiency with geotechnical software such as Plaxis, GeoStudio, FLAC, or similar.

Responsibilities

Lead the planning, execution, and interpretation of geotechnical investigations.
Perform complex geotechnical analyses including foundation design and slope stability.
Develop detailed geotechnical reports, specifications, and recommendations for diverse projects.
Collaborate with project teams to integrate geotechnical designs.
Manage geotechnical aspects of projects, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior geotechnical engineers.
Review designs and reports for technical accuracy.
Stay updated on advancements in geotechnical engineering and software.
