Job summary

RPO Recruitment’s client, an established building contractor in Cape Town, seeks a Senior Foreman – Structures to oversee structural construction on large-scale projects. The role focuses on concrete works and coordination of site teams.

You will supervise foremen, manage resources, ensure safety, and align activities with drawings and schedules. Applicants should have extensive hands-on experience and a track record with Tier 1 contractors.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years in building construction with a focus on concrete.
• Strong leadership and ability to supervise foremen.
• Experience with multi-storey buildings and warehouses.
• Proven ability to plan and resolve site challenges.

Responsibilities

• Supervise structural works including concrete and wet trades.
• Allocate site labour, equipment, and materials.
• Oversee foremen teams and coordinate activities.
• Monitor productivity and adherence to programmes.
• Ensure work follows drawings and specs.
• Coordinate with Site Engineers and Site Agents.
• Enforce health and safety and housekeeping.
• Resolve site challenges to maintain schedule.
