Job summary

RPO Recruitment's client, a reputable building contractor in Cape Town, seeks an experienced Senior Construction Foreman to lead day-to-day site activities, ensuring safety, on-time delivery and workmanship of commercial projects.

You will manage labour, subcontractors and suppliers, read drawings, supervise progress, and coordinate deliveries. A National Diploma in Building and 10–15 years of foreman experience are required; valid driver's license is essential. Salary R600K–R720K CTC annually.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing and site operations.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily site activities to meet safety, schedule, and quality targets.
• Manage site labour, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Monitor construction progress and ensure work is carried out per specifications and programme.
• Conduct regular site inspections and maintain high workmanship standards.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Coordinate material deliveries and site resources to support project execution.
• Liaise with site management to resolve issues and maintain progress.
• Maintain accurate site records and report on progress.
