Job summary

RPO Recruitment seeks a Senior Structural Foreman to join a leading Western Cape construction team. This hands-on leadership role focuses on structural construction and wet trades on large projects.

You will supervise construction teams, subcontractors and trades; coordinate labour, materials and resources; and ensure quality, safety and programme adherence on commercial, industrial and multi-storey developments.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified is essential.
• 15+ years total construction experience.
• 10+ years with a recognised large construction contractor in the Western Cape.
• Experience on commercial, industrial and multi-storey projects.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, quality and site coordination.

A leading construction company is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Foreman to join its Western Cape team.

The successful candidate must have extensive hands-on experience in structural construction and wet trades, together with a proven background working for a large, recognised construction contractor.

Minimum Requirements

• Trade qualified – essential.
• Minimum 15 years' total construction experience.
• At least 10 years' experience with a recognised large construction contractor in the Western Cape.
• Extensive experience specialising in structural construction and wet trades.
• Proven experience on:
  • Commercial projects
  • Industrial projects
  • Multi-storey developments
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, quality, and site coordination.
• Proven experience supervising construction teams, subcontractors, and trades.

Key Competencies

• Strong leadership and site supervision skills.
• Excellent knowledge of structural construction and wet trades.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications.
• Ability to coordinate labour, subcontractors, materials, and resources.

Candidates must have:

15+ years' total construction experience, with a minimum of 10 years spent working for a recognised large construction contractor in the Western Cape.

These are senior appointments and candidates without the required large-contractor experience will not meet the minimum requirements.
