Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Production Supervisor for our Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal facility. The role leads a production team, drives lean initiatives, and ensures safety and quality across all shifts.

You will optimize processes, monitor equipment, and partner with engineering for improvements while maintaining production records and achieving targets in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading production teams in FMCG/manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of lean principles and continuous improvement.
• Familiar with ISO 9001 quality management and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production activities and ensure targets are met.
• Train and mentor operators and line leads.
• Enforce quality control measures to protect product integrity.
• Monitor equipment performance and coordinate maintenance.
• Analyze data to improve efficiency, waste reduction and costs.
• Ensure health, safety and environmental compliance at the plant.
• Manage raw materials and finished goods inventory with supply chain.
• Conduct regular performance reviews for direct reports.
• Collaborate with engineering for process improvements and upgrades.
• Maintain accurate production records and reports for management.
