Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly motivated Production Manager to lead manufacturing operations in Klerksdorp. You will oversee the entire production process, drive efficiency, quality, and safety, and manage a large factory team in the FMCG sector.

The role demands strong leadership, a deep understanding of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and cost control, with a track record of delivering targets and continuous improvement in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of progressive production management experience.
• At least 3 years in a leadership role within FMCG.
• Proven ability to manage large-scale production lines and hit targets.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma and optimization.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage all aspects of the production process for FMCG products.
• Develop and implement production schedules to optimize resources and machinery.
• Supervise, train, and motivate staff, maintaining safety and productivity.
• Monitor performance against metrics; implement improvements and corrective actions.
• Ensure adherence to quality, health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with supply chain, engineering and maintenance to minimize downtime.
