Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Flight Operations Officer to join our global operations team in a remote-first setup. You will coordinate flight operations, planning and dispatch, ensuring compliance with ICAO and SACAA standards while leading teams under time pressure.

Ideal candidates will have a degree in aviation or related field, 7+ years in flight ops, and proficiency with Jeppesen/Lido/fMS.

Qualifications

• Degree in Aviation Management, Aerospace Engineering, Geography or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 7 years in flight operations or related aviation role.
• Flight Dispatcher license or equivalent certification desirable.
• In-depth knowledge of ICAO Annexes, SACAA regulations and international standards.
• Strong meteorology, aerodynamics, navigation and ATC systems knowledge.
• Experience with flight planning software (Jeppesen, Lido/fMS).
• Excellent decision-making, problem-solving and analytical skills under pressure.
• Strong communication, leadership and teamwork for remote collaboration.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all aspects of flight operations including planning, dispatch and monitoring for routes and aircraft.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Relevant degree in Aviation Management, Aerospace Engineering, Geography, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in flight operations, dispatch, or a related aviation operational role.
• Possession of a valid Flight Dispatcher License or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
• In-depth knowledge of ICAO Annexes, SACAA regulations, and international aviation standards.
• Strong understanding of meteorology, aerodynamics, navigation, and air traffic management systems.
• Proven experience with flight planning software and tools (e.g., Jeppesen, Lido/fMS).
• Exceptional decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills, especially under pressure.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork abilities for remote collaboration.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and public holidays, as per operational needs.
