Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager for its Stellenbosch team. You will identify market opportunities, forge strategic partnerships, and drive revenue growth for fintech solutions.

You will manage complex deals and build relationships with banks and technology partners in a fast‑paced environment. The role requires a deep fintech understanding, a proven track record of exceeding targets, and strong negotiation and presentation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
• MBA or equivalent is a strong advantage.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in business development, sales, or partnerships.
• Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and building long‑term partnerships.
• Strong understanding of fintech, digital banking, and payment solutions.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and manage complex sales cycles.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities and strategic partnerships within Fintech and financial services.
• Drive sales pipeline growth and achieve revenue targets for product and service offerings.
• Build and maintain relationships with banks, financial institutions, and technology partners.
• Develop and execute strategic business development plans for specific market segments.
• Lead negotiations and close complex commercial agreements.
• Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events.
• Collaborate with product and marketing to refine value propositions and go‑to‑market strategies.
• Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify threats and opportunities.
• Provide market feedback to inform product development and strategic direction.
