Placements24 is seeking a Principal Consultant in Bloemfontein to lead financial advisory engagements, including M&A, valuation and due diligence, while guiding clients through complex corporate finance challenges.

The role requires a CA(SA)/CFA/ACCA or MBA with 10+ years in advisory, capable of building senior client relationships and mentoring junior consultants. Based in Bloemfontein with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Professional qualification (CA(SA), CFA, ACCA or equivalent) required or highly desirable MBA/Master’s in Finance.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in financial advisory, corporate finance, investment banking or related fields.
• Proven track record managing complex advisory projects and transactions.
• Deep expertise in financial modeling, valuation techniques, M&A processes, and due diligence.
• Strong understanding of financial markets and capital raising instruments.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to manage teams.
• Proficiency in financial analysis software and databases; willing to travel to Bloemfontein.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage financial advisory engagements including M&A, valuation, due diligence and corporate restructuring.
• Provide strategic financial advice to clients to support growth objectives.
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis, market research and due diligence investigations.
• Develop comprehensive financial models and valuation reports.
• Assist clients in capital raising activities (debt and equity).
• Manage client relationships and deliver exceptional service while mentoring juniors.
• Prepare and deliver high-quality presentations and reports to clients.
• Stay updated on market trends, regulatory changes and best practices.
• Collaborate with internal specialists to deliver integrated client solutions.
