Placements24 in South Africa seeks an experienced Management Consultant to join its M&A Advisory team in a hybrid role focused on Midrand, Gauteng. You will support the full deal lifecycle from due diligence and valuation to integration and synergy realization.

You will produce financial models, advise on deal structuring, and work with clients, legal advisors, and other stakeholders to drive successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in investment banking, corporate finance, or M&A advisory.
• Experience in due diligence, modeling, valuation and deal structuring.
• Strong understanding of financial statements and corporate finance concepts.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Experience managing complex projects in a hybrid work environment.
• MBA, CFA or similar designation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct financial, operational, and commercial due diligence for acquisitions/divestitures.
• Assist in valuation and structuring of M&A deals.
• Develop post-merger integration plans focusing on synergies.
• Analyze market dynamics and competitive landscapes to support strategy decisions.
• Prepare financial models, valuation reports, and investment memorandums.
• Work closely with clients, legal advisors, and stakeholders.
• Identify risks and opportunities in M&A transactions.
• Manage project teams in a hybrid setting, ensuring timely delivery.
