Job summary

Globe 24-7, in partnership with a growing South African mining company, seeks a qualified CA(SA) to join its Johannesburg-based Group Finance team. The role focuses on financial reporting, compliance and consolidations under IFRS.

You will collaborate across multiple entities, support external audits, and strengthen internal controls while providing tax input on VAT, corporate tax and mining royalties. Mining experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Qualified CA(SA) with senior-level financial reporting experience.
• Mining industry experience preferred.
• Experience in group/multi-entity reporting, consolidations, statutory reporting and audit exposure.
• Strong IFRS knowledge and internal controls experience.
• Tax experience advantageous, including VAT and corporate tax.

The Company

Globe 24-7, in partnership with a growing South African mining company, is seeking a qualified finance professional to join its Johannesburg-based Group Finance team.

The Role

Reporting to the Group Financial Manager: Financial Reporting and Compliance, the successful candidate will support the Group's financial reporting and compliance function.

The Responsibilities

• Support Group financial reporting, statutory reporting and financial consolidations.
• Assist with external audits and ensure accurate, timely reporting in line with IFRS and regulatory requirements.
• Support tax compliance, including VAT, corporate income tax, provisional tax, mining royalties and SARS engagements.
• Strengthen internal financial controls, governance and compliance across the Group.

The Requirements

• Qualified CA(SA)
• Mining industry experience
• Group or multi-entity reporting, consolidations, statutory reporting and audit exposure.
• Senior-level financial reporting and compliance experience, with broad practical IFRS knowledge.
• Experience in internal controls, governance and tax; strong hands-on tax experience would be advantageous.
• Mining experience is preferred, ideally within coal.
• Able to understand the broader business and work across multiple finance areas.
