Job summary

Network Finance is partnering with a leading multinational provider of heavy equipment, industrial solutions and aftermarket support, with a strong footprint across Africa.

This role targets a CA(SA) who enjoys month-end reporting and consolidations and will oversee reporting for 14 entities in a complex, multinational environment.

Qualifications

• CA(SA) qualification required.
• 3–5 years post-articles experience in financial reporting.
• Proven IFRS and technical accounting knowledge.
• Experience in a large multinational organisation is advantageous.
• Experience leading and developing a finance team.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting for 14 entities.
• Ensure IFRS-compliant reporting in line with group requirements.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes and reconciliations.
• Provide detailed management reporting and insights to senior stakeholders.
• Manage technical accounting matters and apply accounting standards.
• Drive strong financial controls, governance and compliance across the reporting environment.
• Partner with operational and commercial stakeholders to understand performance and identify risks and opportunities.
• Lead, mentor and develop the finance team.

This is an opportunity for a CA(SA) who enjoys month end reporting and consolidations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting processes and consolidate 14 legal entities with a turnover of over 20 billion ZAR.
• Ensure accurate and compliant reporting in line with IFRS and group reporting requirements.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, including balance sheet reconciliations and financial reviews.
• Prepare detailed management reporting and provide meaningful financial insights to senior stakeholders.
• Manage technical accounting matters and ensure appropriate application of accounting standards.
• Drive strong financial controls, governance and compliance across the reporting environment.
• Partner with operational and commercial stakeholders to understand business performance and identify financial risks and opportunities.
• Lead, mentor and develop members of the finance team.

Job Experience and Skills Required

Education:

• CA(SA) – non-negotiable

Experience:

• Minimum 3–5 years post-articles experience.
• Strong experience in financial reporting and management accounting.
• Proven IFRS and technical accounting knowledge.
• Experience within a large, complex or multinational organisation is advantageous.
• Experience managing and developing a finance team.
• Exposure to budgeting, forecasting and commercial finance.
• Experience within mining, heavy equipment, industrial, engineering, manufacturing or a related environment would be advantageous.

Skills:

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong ERP exposure; SAP and Hyperion experience would be advantageous.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving ability.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• High attention to detail with the ability to operate in a deadline‑driven environment.

• CA(SA) qualification.
• Strong financial reporting, consolidations and IFRS knowledge
