Globe 24-7, in partnership with a key mining client in South Africa, is seeking an experienced and qualified Senior Financial Manager to join its team in Johannesburg.

The Role

Reporting to the Group Financial Manager: Financial Reporting & Compliance, the Senior Financial Manager will support the management of the Group's financial reporting, statutory compliance, financial consolidations, audit processes, tax and internal financial control environment.

The role is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely and compliant financial and tax reporting in accordance with IFRS, company policies and relevant regulatory requirements. It will also support sound financial governance across the Group and include broader financial management responsibilities.

The Responsibilities

• Support the Group's monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting processes
• Prepare and review consolidated financial information and financial statements
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, statutory requirements and company policies
• Support the management of corporate tax and related tax-reporting requirements
• Coordinate internal and external audit processes
• Maintain and strengthen the Group's internal financial control environment
• Review accounting treatments and provide guidance on financial-reporting matters
• Support the implementation and maintenance of finance policies, procedures and governance frameworks
• Work closely with operational finance teams and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely reporting
• Provide broader financial management and leadership support as required

The Requirements

• Minimum of five years' experience within the mining industry
• Strong financial reporting and consolidation experience
• Sound knowledge of IFRS and statutory reporting requirements
• Relevant tax and internal financial control experience
• Strong leadership, stakeholder-management and communication skills
