We are looking for a Financial Accountant. Our client is an established organisation with more than 20 years of experience in the mining and resources sector. The organisation operates across multiple commodities and jurisdictions, providing exposure to a complex and highly regulated environment where strong financial governance and commercial decision-making are critical to the business.
We are looking for an experienced Financial Accountant with a strong background in financial reporting and tax compliance, ideally gained within the mining industry. The successful candidate should have sound knowledge of IFRS, together with extensive South African tax experience, including Mining Income Tax, Mining Royalty Tax, VAT, PAYE and Carbon Tax. We are looking for someone who can operate confidently at both an operational and group reporting level, interpret financial information and take ownership of reporting, tax and audit requirements.
This is an opportunity to move into a role that offers exposure to group-level financial reporting, statutory reporting, taxation, audit and financial management within a complex mining environment. You will work across a broad range of financial responsibilities, engage with senior internal and external stakeholders, and gain valuable exposure to the financial operations of a diversified resources group. If you are looking for a role that will broaden your technical accounting and tax experience while giving you greater exposure to the mining sector, this could be the next step in your career.
