Job summary

Elev8 is seeking a Senior Finance Manager to lead financial strategy and reporting for a waste management client in the N‑Suburbs, Cape Town. This pivotal role focuses on strategic finance leadership, robust controls, and cross‑functional support to drive performance and compliance.

The position requires 5–8 years of senior experience, GAAP/IFRS knowledge, and hands‑on proficiency with Xero; a professional qualification is preferred. Competitive package on offer with strong benefits.

Qualifications

• CA(SA), CIMA, SAIPA or similar professional qualification preferred.
• Bachelor degree in Commerce/Business Science in Finance or Accounting or related.
• 5-8 years’ senior financial management experience with team leadership.
• Strong IFRS knowledge, compliance controls and GAAP understanding.
• Hands-on with financial systems; Xero experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial resources and ensure long-term health.
• Produce monthly management accounts and variance reporting.
• Develop financial procedures, internal controls and procurement policies.
• Support budgets, strategic planning and forecasting.
• Manage systems, GLs, sub-ledgers and cost centres.
• Oversee invoicing, VAT, and collections; ensure policy adherence.
• Support Projects Team and cross‑departmental decision making.
