Labournet in Cape Town seeks a Senior Finance Manager to lead financial operations for a waste management-focused organisation. You will develop strategies, produce reports, and guide cross-departmental decision-making to ensure long-term financial health.

The role emphasizes governance, system optimization, and collaboration with project teams, while ensuring regulatory alignment and robust internal controls. A dynamic, purpose-led environment awaits the successful candidate.

Formación

• CA(SA), CIMA, SAIPA or similar professional qualification preferred.
• Tertiary qualification in BCom/Business Science Finance and/or Accounting or related field.
• 5–8 years’ senior financial management experience, including team leadership.
• Industry experience in waste management or related sectors advantageous.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS, compliance, controls).
• Hands-on experience with financial systems; knowledge of Xero advantageous.
• Excellent MS Excel skills.

Responsabilidades

• Produce accurate monthly management accounts and variance reports.
• Prepare VAT reports and liaise with auditors (Statutory, BBBEE, and EPR).
• Develop financial procedures, internal controls, and procurement policies.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis.
• Assist with annual budgets, strategic planning, and forecasting.
• Oversee invoicing, fee collection, and integration between online EPR systems and financial software.
• Maintain control over creditor payments and debtor follow-ups.
• Review debtor age analysis and implement effective collections strategies.
• Review financial reconciliations and ensure asset tracking integrity.
• Monitor project costs, assets, impairments, and loan repayments.
• Support Projects Team and coordinate procurement and admin functions.
