Elev8 in Johannesburg, Gauteng, is recruiting a Financial Manager to lead the finance function across a global manufacturing engineering group. You will oversee budgeting (~R500m–R550m), reporting to the Group finance team, and drive strategic financial oversight in a high‑stakes manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate has a CA(SA) or equivalent, 5+ years in senior financial management, strong SAP knowledge, and the ability to coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies.

Qualifications

• CA(SA) or BCom (Hons) in Accounting/Financial Management with CIMA qualification
• Minimum 5 years' financial management/accounting experience in manufacturing
• 5+ years in a senior management role leading a finance team
• Excellent understanding of SAP and manufacturing business processes
• Computer literacy with strong Microsoft packages
• Excellent communication at all levels; willingness to work extra hours when needed
• Experience in engineering/manufacturing environments and in financial resource planning

Responsibilities

• Oversee all finance and related functions for operational and strategic wellbeing
• Budget oversight with responsibility for the company budget (~R500m–R550m)
• Prepare monthly management accounts and reports to Group finance
• Post monthly accruals/prepayments and reconcile balance sheets
• Lead annual budgeting and forecasting activities and manage cashflow
• Coordinate external audits and liaise with SARS, pensions, and statutory bodies
• Ensure ERP system alignment with Group requirements and stock/asset controls
