Key Responsibilities

• Execute timely and efficient repairs and preventative maintenance on a variety of commercial and industrial climate control units.
• Interpret technical blueprints, schematics, and service manuals to guide repair and installation processes.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, provide technical explanations, and offer solutions to maintain system efficiency.
• Maintain detailed service records, including work performed, parts used, and time spent, utilizing company-provided digital tools.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior technicians, fostering a culture of continuous learning and skill development within the team.
• Ensure all work complies with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies in the Pietermaritzburg area.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Field Service Technician, with a specialization in HVAC systems.
• In-depth knowledge of refrigeration cycles, electrical systems, control circuits, and air distribution.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools relevant to HVAC servicing.
• Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.

• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
