Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in HVAC installation with senior responsibilities.
• NTC 3 or equivalent in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Willing to relocate to Midrand, Gauteng.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and perform installation of HVAC equipment including air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps, and ducts.
• Conduct site assessments to determine effective installation methods per codes and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and perform the installation of a wide range of HVAC equipment, including but not limited to, air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps, ventilation systems, and associated ductwork.
• Conduct thorough site assessments to determine the most effective and efficient installation methods, adhering strictly to building codes and safety regulations.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to ensure precise installation of systems.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions in HVAC systems, identifying root causes and implementing effective repair strategies.
• Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and calibration of HVAC units to ensure peak performance and energy efficiency.
• Manage inventory of parts and materials, ensuring all necessary components are available for upcoming installations and repairs.
• Provide technical guidance and training to junior installation technicians, fostering a culture of skill development and teamwork.
• Maintain detailed records of all installations, maintenance activities, and repair work performed, including parts used and time spent.
• Communicate effectively with clients, site managers, and other stakeholders, providing updates and explanations regarding installation progress and system functionality.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of proven experience as an HVAC Installation Technician, with a significant portion involving senior responsibilities.
• NTC 3 or equivalent qualification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.
• Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and installation best practices.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with a wide range of HVAC tools and equipment, including testing devices.
• Excellent understanding of safety protocols and compliance with industry regulations.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team, managing time effectively to meet project deadlines.
• Good physical condition and ability to work in various environments and at heights.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
