Placements24 is seeking a Senior Field Service Engineer to provide on-site technical support, maintenance, and commissioning for advanced industrial automation systems in Randburg. You will handle PLCs, robotics, and SCADA, ensuring minimal downtime for clients.

The role requires hands-on experience with Siemens/Rockwell PLCs, FANUC/ABB robotics, and strong diagnostic skills, with travel across SA as needed. Excellent customer-facing abilities are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics.
Minimum of 7 years in field service/technical support for industrial automation systems.
Hands-on experience with major PLC brands (Siemens, Rockwell), robotics (FANUC, ABB), and SCADA.

Responsibilities

Provide on-site technical support, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of automation systems.
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software and integration issues.
Develop and deliver customer training on system operation and maintenance.
Create detailed service reports and liaise with internal engineering and sales teams.
