Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Field Service Engineer specialized in Industrial Automation to travel to client sites in Polokwane and surrounding Limpopo regions. You will install, commission, troubleshoot, and maintain automated systems, working closely with clients to meet operational needs.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in industrial automation field service, strong PLC/HMI/SCADA knowledge, and ability to travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years in industrial automation field service.
• Strong PLC knowledge (Siemens, Allen-Bradley).
• Ability to travel to client sites and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and commission industrial automation systems (PLCs, HMIs, robotics).
• Provide on-site technical support and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Perform regular maintenance and upgrades to ensure system reliability.
• Conduct training sessions for client personnel on system operation and basic maintenance.
• Document service activities, reports, parts usage and client feedback.
